stream of conciousness.

Currently listening to: the occasional siren, leafblowers, street noise. Yes, I have my windows open in January.
Currently drinking/eating: diet coke, chocolate panettone from Bakeshop.
Currently wearing: zebra print Snuggie.

Hai. I know it's been a while, and I hate being one of those off again, on again bloggers. Hell, I don't even think I can actually consider myself a blogger at this point with this waste of internet space. But hey, here I am, and I felt like writing.

It's strange, because I am CRAZY stressed out right now: I have 8 (annnnd, now 9) unlistened-to voicemails, a ton of unanswered emails, rented tablecloths to be dropped off, freight elevators to be reserved, boxes to be packed, stuff to be organized, dishes to be cleaned, laundry to be done, things to be moved to storage, and I feel like doing none of it. I'm hoping that after I post this I'll be swept away with a great rush of motivation, but that's doubtful. I'm moving this weekend and while I'm super excited about the new abode, I am freaking out about the process. I've got friends helping me, which is fantastic, but it's still nerve-wracking to make sure the electricity is on, and nothing gets broken, and my friends won't hate me afterward, and my furniture will fit in the new place. Plus, my money situation is pretty dire. With the deposits and extra rent and an impulse MUCH-larger-than-I-could-afford donation to the Red Cross, I've got to figure out how to come up with some extra money ASAP. And I think that's going to mean asking the parents, which is not fun... ever.

But woosh, I'm going to try to put all of that behind me for a bit and focus on the future. My new place is an absolutely adorable carriage house in Inman Park, which means a backyard for Tikka and more money for Kiki. While I love Midtown and will certainly miss having all of my friends within walking distance, I think it will be a good move for me. Next week I'm off to San Francisco for work which is always a fantastic (if not overwhelming and exhausting) time. I'm heading from there to DC to see some old friends which I am absolutely thrilled about as I haven't been there in nearly a year. It's been way too long, for sure. Now to just figure out what I'm doing and where I'm staying...

In other fantastic news, it is currently 60 degrees outside (yes, in January), which is absolute heaven. A vast difference from just two weeks ago where we couldn't break freezing for days on end. So hooray for that.

So yeah, I suppose that's about it. Most boring post ever. But hopefully this will motivate me to update soon so this gets pushed to the bottom of my page.
